A little mahj inspiration. A lot of people who get it.
If you’ve ever asked, "What mat goes with these tiles?" or spent far too long debating rack colors, you’re in good company.
The Mahj Matchmaker Facebook group is where we share our setups, compare options, discover beautiful things, and help each other put it all together. Whether you’re shopping for your first set or giving your table a seasonal refresh, come join the conversation.
Share your table. Find your inspiration.
We all have our own way of putting things together, and that’s what makes this fun. Share your favorite combination, your holiday tablescape, or the new arrival you couldn’t wait to unpack. See how other players style their sets and discover pairings you might never have considered.
You don’t need a professionally styled table to join in. We want to see what you’re enjoying.
Ask the people who understand the dilemma.
Torn between two mats? Looking for racks that pull out a particular color in your tiles? Bring your questions, photos, and "this or that" decisions. Sometimes another person’s suggestion—or seeing a combination in a real home—is exactly what helps you decide.
Buy, sell, trade, and track down your wish list.
Looking for a retired tile set you can’t buy in stores anymore? Hunting for a hard-to-find mat or a particular rack color? Post an ISO (in search of)—another member might have exactly what you’ve been looking for.
You can also shop secondhand finds, sell pieces you’re ready to pass along, arrange a trade, or share a discovery with the group. Whether you’re making room for something new or finally tracking down the set you missed, this is a place to connect.
Please check the group rules before posting.
Where it all started
Mahj Matchmaker began with the digital mock-ups I created while shopping for my own first set. When I realized other players needed those visuals, too, I started the Facebook group and uploaded my matches into albums organized by tile set.
The original match albums in the group
The original library is still available in the group’s Albums or Media section. New and updated match albums now live here on the website, ready for you to explore.
Come show us what you’re loving.
You don’t need a picture-perfect table or a collection of tile sets to belong here. Bring your curiosity, your questions, and your enthusiasm for a game that gives us plenty to talk about.
See you in the group!
