Mahj Matchmaker started a bit by accident, when I absolutely fell in love with the game of mahjong and realized I was completely obsessed with curating the perfect first set for myself. Cue the rabbit hole of research and a ridiculous amount of mahj photos saved to my phone. I realized I needed to use my skills as a graphic designer to mock all these options up and figure out what I liked best. And I guess you could say I just never stopped! I’ve always loved playing with color and pattern, and mahjong tiles are full of both!
What started as a fun, creative personal experiment quickly turned into a growing library of curated matches.
Those 700+ mock-ups became the original Mahj Matchmaker tile library, and that archive still lives in our Facebook group. We no longer add new matches to the group: every new tile match album now has its home right here on mahjmatchmaker.com, while the community is where players share their own tables, finds and trades.
Today we have an ever-growing library of over 900 matches, and counting! The world of mahj is never-ending, and Mahj Matchmaker is here to help you sort through the color stories, patterns and new releases to curate the mahj tablescape that’s perfect for YOU.

Let’s face it, in the world of mahjong there are a LOT of options out there! It can be overwhelming when shopping to try to figure your absolute favorite combo and purchasing lots of tiles, mats and racks is often out of budget for most shoppers.
That’s why I’ve created a library of digital mock-ups to quickly and easily help you to visualize a variety of mahjong tiles, mats & racks before you buy, so you can quickly find your favorite combos!
