The soft, pearly, coral-and-mint setup I played on all spring and summer, and every piece that went into it.
Every season I settle into one setup that I just can't stop playing on. For spring and summer, it was Oh My Mahjong's Pearlescent tiles on the Heron mat. It's light and fresh, a little bit coastal, and it makes you want to set up a game on the porch with something cold to drink.

The tiles: Oh My Mahjong Pearlescent
Pearlescent tiles have pearly, iridescent backs with soft pastel layers, and the faces are painted in pinks, corals and greens. They glow a little in natural light, which is exactly why they shine on a bright spring table. They're also one of the most versatile tile sets I own, so if you're looking for a set that works with lots of mats, these are a great pick.
See every mat and rack I've paired with them in my Pearlescent tile matches album.

The Heron mat is coral and blush with white herons, cherry blossoms and a mint border. That coral and mint is an almost perfect echo of the layers on the Pearlescent tiles, so the whole table feels like it was designed together.
The racks: Miss Mahjong scalloped acrylic
Any of Miss Mahjong's colored scalloped racks work here, but Cornflower and Opal are my favorites, and I like mixing a few colors so each player gets a different one. The scallops add a sweet, vintage touch, and the colors pull straight from the tiles and mat:
- Iridescent Opal Scalloped Racks to match the pearly tile backs
- Peach Sorbet Scalloped Racks for the coral
- Cornflower Blue Scalloped Racks for a pop of blue

A tablescape is more than the tiles and mat. I always pick five things: the tablecloth, the mat, the racks, a lamp and a dice dish. Here's what finished this table:
- Tablecloth: a coral block-print tablecloth under the mat to carry the coral out to the edges of the table
- Lamp: a little cordless lamp with a pale blue shade that echoes the cornflower racks
- Dice dish: a small dish for the dice so they don't wander off the mat
