Oh My Mahjong
Pippa Mahjong Tile Matches
Introducing Pippa from Oh My Mahjong! Pippa is a sunshine-y little fiesta of a tile ready to brighten up your mahj game, with sunny yellow backs and coral pink and mint layers.
Yellow is often a neglected color in mahjong tile design, but it’s actually the color of happiness and joy! Research has linked yellow to feeling happier, and it all ties back to our love of the sun. Interesting, right?!
Pippa shares the tile faces of Solara, so we get to see my favorite adorable dragons in the whole OMM line in a brand new colorway! Tell me that little guy shouldn’t be made into a piñata immediately?
What yellow tiles lack in versatility (we just don’t have nearly as many yellow mats as we do pinks, greens and blues), they more than make up for in their happiness factor. Pippa screams summer and makes me immediately want a margarita. Enjoy the joy of our girl Pippa!

What mats match Pippa mahjong tiles?
My top mat picks for Pippa are Hampton by Oh My Mahjong, Veranda by Oh My Mahjong and Sunwashed Citrus by Mahj Tile Haus. Below are all 17 Pippa mat matches from 8 brands, each with rack picks and a link to shop.
Colors & racks
The solid back is a true sunshine yellow, layered with coral pink and mint. The faces bring in kelly green, cobalt, raspberry, sky blue, turquoise and coral. They’re bold and cheerful, so Pippa loves mats with the same energy: citrus prints, bright chinoiserie and anything with a pop of coral or aqua.
As always, racks can be matched to the tile faces, the tile layers or the mat. With a tile this bright, I like letting one rack bring the sunshine and another bring the layers. Bird & Bamboo’s Bird & Bamboo Sunshine and Bird & Bamboo Pink Coral are my go-to pair for Pippa, and Miss Mahjong Opal & Brass racks keep the whole table light and pretty. For more options, try Icy Mint, Turks Blue, Lime Green and Butter. I’ve sprinkled a few more rack colors throughout the album that match particular mats.
