Oh My Mahjong
Emerald Mahjong Tile Matches
Guys I was not expecting these to be as versatile as they appear to be! Someone needs to do a Wicked tablescape with Esme + Agate racks, so fun!! I have a feeling that because of the light and shadows on the "facets" of these that they will play girly & moody which will be cool to see. Note that the tops are flat, not faceted, but the optical illusion has highlights/shadows. Scroll down to see my favorite matches!

Emerald + Esme
Mat by Oh My MahjongEsme is Emerald’s pair and it’s the best match IMO, close 2nd is Amethyst in the OMM line. This is a great moody and girly setup!

Emerald + Vivara
Mat by Oh My MahjongThe greens of Vivara lean to chartreuse or lime so not an exact match but there is enough magenta and overall green to make Emerald coordinate. Plus Vivara and Emerald both have an overall girly girl vibe so they get each other

Emerald + Spring Fling
Mat by Oh My MahjongRetiredSpring Fling is one of OMM’s most versatile mats because of it’s wide colorway, and Emerald pops the greens of this mat really nicely!

Emerald + Amethyst
Mat by Oh My MahjongRetiredI don’t know guys maybe this is my favorite match, it’s a close call with Esme. Emerald and Amethyst is (obviously) giving major jewel energy and the rich emerald green of Emerald really brings out the greens on this mat. But if you look at the Emerald faces you’ll see they are really dominant with magenta and turquoise tones so that really brings it home for this mat. Amethyst can be tricky and Emerald is a great match for it!

Emerald + Enchanted
Mat by Oh My MahjongRetiredEnchanted has a vibe that feels a little magical to me so aside from the greens working well here I think the vibes of these mats work well

Emerald + Serengeti
Mat by Oh My MahjongRetiredSerengeti has a lot of greens going on that allow Emerald to fit right in

Emerald + Camellia
Mat by Oh My MahjongRetiredSimilar to Vivara, Camellia isn’t a perfect match but there is enough color similarity going on to make it work while Emerald adds some sparkle to the already feminine aesthetic of Camellia.

Emerald + Citrus Songbird
Mat by Oh My MahjongRetiredI’m iffy on this one, there is some color relation with magenta berries of lemons and Citrus Songbird has a lot of greens. This mat also surprises me with what it does so I’d like to see this one in person to decide if it may be a pretty decent match up!

Emerald + Mirage
Mat by Oh My MahjongRetiredAs I’ve said before, the busyness of the pattern in Mirage lends itself to some fun, eclectic and surprising combinations. The pattern of Emerald is very busy as well and I think will be funky and fun. The greens of the trees obviously aren’t a match but they aren’t so far apart that they are offensive. And the faces have turquoise that will work great with the trees, but the magenta of the faces is the true tie that will bind these tiles nicely to Mirage.

Emerald + SoHo
Mat by Oh My MahjongRetiredA little juxtaposition here of girly and masculine is a fun twist for Soho, but the geometric art deco pattern is what makes Emerald an interesting match with it’s geometric (albeit flat) facets
