Founder Laurie started Let’s Be Besties after discovering mahjong during COVID and falling for the whole ritual: the tiles, the tablescapes and the time with friends. Today the shop offers hundreds of mat designs, designed and printed in the United States.
Mats come in smooth neoprene or textured leatherette, mostly in 31.5" and 33.5" sizes, with personalization and fully custom mats available. Their Artist Collective pairs the shop with outside artists. They also carry tiles, racks, mat bags and gifts.
